I’m a 45yo guy who has not had the best time of life lately and I’ve ended up under a community MH team.

They got me to see a doctor and I’ve been given 5mg of escitalopram. I’m four days in and jittery with restless legs and muscle spasms. My calves hurt!

I’d been on mirtazipine for a year a while back which made me gain insane amounts of weight so was keen not to return to it.

is this normal to start escitalopram?

I replied to you in another thread I think. Did you end up switching due to the clenching?

I'm on day 10 of Citalopram, and day 5 of going up from 5mg to 10mg.

The jaw stuff stuff seems to have eased up, but I had a terrible headache yesterday, though in the evening I felt strangely "good" for a period.

Back to anxiety this morning. I'm going to keep at it, as they've worked for me before.

I don't remember that start up being this bad when I've taken it before, but I'm in a much worse place to begin with this time.

Gaining weight starts with bad decisions, but healthy options are always available.
