When did you decide to seek help for feeling overwhelmed?

I've been feeling really overwhelmed lately. From the outside everything looks fine. I go to work, get things done, smile when I need to, but inside I just feel exhausted all the time. I keep telling myself to "get on with it" because everyone seems busy and stressed these days, but I'm starting to wonder if this is more than just a rough patch.

I've thought about speaking to someone, but therapy is so expensive where I live, and there's still so much awkwardness around admitting you're struggling. Part of me feels guilty for even thinking I need help.

Has anyone else felt like this? At what point did you decide to talk to someone, and did it actually help?

Ring Samaritans .... it's free and they might be able to give you some guidance/options

Worthwhile having a physical check up first – thyroid, deficits, peri, etc. Rule out the obvious first.

Op, is it just physical or are you feeling low and/or anxious too?

I left it until I had a complete breakdown. In retrospect I should have sought therapy and medication much much earlier.

I think if you are wondering whether you need help, it's worth reaching out. Therachange offers online therapy with qualified therapists, so it could be another option to explore.

Self-analysis is helpful to know your condition but a health advisor can better guide on how to manage your condition.

You don’t have to wait until everything becomes unmanageable before asking for support. Talking to someone you trust could be a helpful first step, and you deserve support without feeling guilty for needing it.
