I just wanted to share this for anyone really struggling right now, it will get better. I know you've probably heard it already but I promise it will. From one person who's been really struggling to another

Hold on in there ❤️

That's a lovely post, thank you. When people are in the depths of despair they can't imagine ever feeling normal again. But the reverse is just as true.

Thank you , Just what I needed to hear right now

Coming out of that really dark place has made me incredibly grateful I didn't give in and give up. One day at a time really does work. I've started being more honest with the people I can talk to and I think that's helped.

Baby steps. We will all get there ❤️

Thanks OP, I can add my perspective too as I am starting to feel some enjoyment in life after three years in the depth of despair.
Not sure if it will help others who are struggling at the moment but, for me, the change has come by having some goals to aim for and by pushing myself to keep moving and get out in nature, while also trying not to beat myself up when I am tired and just need to rest.
It’s nice to see a positive thread to give hope to others that things can improve even if it seems impossible now and takes a long time x

I wish this was true for me. I've struggled constantly for 20 years. I've lost hope that I'll ever be okay.

I think there are degrees of Okay. I still find life a struggle but there are glimmers of interest and enjoyment so it isn’t constant despair at the moment. I think when things are bad it is harder to remember that there have been periods when it hasn’t been so much of a constant struggle.
