I hope people can help. I was prescribed setraline for low mood and mood swings. I was on it years ago and had a very positive experience. I took 25mg for 10 days with mild side effects mostly digestive.

I started 50mg 8 days ago. I was fine for the forst 3 days but from day 4 anxiety started. I feel wired, not sleeping great ans sweating loads at night. Today I started getting intrusive thoughts

Have others experienced this. If so how long did it last?

Yes, this can happen after increasing Sertraline many people get anxiety, sweating and poor sleep for 1–3 weeks. If the intrusive thoughts get worse or feel overwhelming, speak to your doctor ASAP.

It’s part of the process. IME it works very well, however - I’m now weaning myself off under GP as I’ve been on it a year and gained over a stone of weight which is even harder to shift, so full circle and feel shitter than before with body dysmorphia. Woohoo

Yes - worse on the anxiety and restlessness side for about a month or so - lots of trouble sleeping. Then slowly starts improving until I suddenly realise I’m feeling better than before I started taking them. Happens every time (have been on & off a lot).

Yes, think it lasted a couple of days for me then passed. Sertraline made such a difference for me.
