Increased Escitalopram dose

Anyone upped 10mg of Escitalopram to 12.5
& had good results. Do you get side effects again when upping dose? Have had a s* time recently with various meds & don't think my body can take many more changes.
would appreciate anyone's thoughts on this. Also on 15mg Mirtazapine in evening which would like to taper off eventually.

I went from 10 to 20 and am now on 30 this was done over about a 10 year period i can't remember having any side effects so there was definitely nothing significant that happened. Escitalopram is a really good drug its helped me a lot and I have no side effects from it. I think you are making the right decision to up it, has the dr suggested this dose?

Thanks for that. My psychiatrist recommended upping the dose. Do you mind me asking how old you are? I'm 68 & it's not
recommended over 65 due to potential heart problems. Psych didn't seem too bothered tho.
