After 34 years on this planet, after daily horrible mental abuse for my entire childhood and early adulthood, I finally found the strength to talk and I was diagnosed with severe anxiety and severe depression. I'll start Sertraline tomorrow. I have no one I can talk to about it. I just needed to say it somewhere.

Sertraline is a really good drug . It works quickly and has had no side effects for me . I would suggest always taking with food and swallowing with a cold drink . I've found it irritates my stomach if I don't do this . I suppose you could call that a side effect except its easily avoided . I had a stressful childhood so can sympathise with how you're feeling . Good luck , hope you feel better soon.
