What sort of OCD is this?

Sometimes I get very intrusive thoughts that I haven’t read all the terms and conditions property when signing up to things and I’m going to owe millions of pounds. I can be about anything from email accounts, buying things from online retailers, websites etc.

On bad occasions I could be up all night reading things to try and reassure myself but obviously that makes it worse as I’m not reassured. Sometimes I call up customer service helplines to make sure I haven’t signed up to something financial.

I also worry about being fined for things too, or if I’ve signed anything that holds me to account legally and not realised.
It makes me sick and feel really unwell.

What is this, financial OCD? Or something else?

When did this start? Are you aware of what triggered it, or is there something in your past/childhood that might have been the origin of the thoughts?

It started a few years ago, I’m not sure what the trigger was apart from some people in my life being very careful about money (but lots of people are).
