Have you had any side effects when starting Quetiapine?

Hi,
I've just started taking Quetiapine 50mg XL a couple of days ago and I feel a little bit more anxious. Is that a possible side effect? Has anyone ever experienced it? How long does it take to go away?

I didn't get on with it at all op. Started at 25mg and went up to 75mg, mainly to treat insomnia and acute anxiety but didn't find it helped. I felt out of it, like my tongue felt too big for my mouth so my words were slurred, and doped up. It didn't help at all with sleep and the anxiety was still there buzzing around in the background, but I felt more removed from it if that makes sense. It didn't make me feel calmer or brighter in myself. Sorry if that's not very helpful, but everyone's different and I often have odd reactions to meds.

I often had anxiety in my life and it was under control with the Venlafaxine, but the Venlafaxine was really helping with depression so Quetiapine 50mg XL was added. 3 days in I feel a bit anxious, I wonder if it's normal as the body ajust to the medication? I'm really terrified of anxiety coming back. It had impacted my life so badly that just the thought of it makes me cry.
