God it’s a horrible horrible drug! I was started on 409mg, titrated up to 100mg and it caused the most awful, bone crushing fatigue. I then started overeating, maybe because I felt I needed energy?

so now I’m fat and exhausted and it did nothing to my mental health because I was feeling better when I started it which is thanks to 225mg of venlafaxine.

has anyone else found the side effects awful? I’ve stopped taking it because last time my bloods were checked it wasn’t at a therapeutic level anyway so I’m hoping I’ll be ok

Yes it was awful for me too! Work much better on olanzaoine and fluoxetine
it’s a miracle drug for some though

I've been on lithium for 5 weeks now and so far so good. A bit of nausea initially which has subsided. Feel calmer in general, less like I am about to explode at every opportunity. Appreciate it is still early days though. Just to share a positive experience, sorry it may not be the answer you are hoping for!

Ps. You should definitely speak to your psychiatrist before stopping.

It took me four weeks to get through the initial side effects; constant vomiting and fatigue. Think I threw up more in that month than in the rest of my life.

I'm SO glad I stuck with it, it's been a game changer.

Please speak to your team about your decision.
