Hi 👋
I just wondered if I could pick your brains.
I have commenced on this drug for the first time, and am now on day 10.
I guess my questions are:

has 37.5mg been enough to stabilise your mood?
they seem to make me incredibly sleepy! And sort of a bit numb.

if I decide they aren’t for me, how bad will it be to stop them? Would like to hear experience from people who have been on low dose and weaned off a low dose!

thank you!

Hi, I started on 75mg 8ish weeks ago after trying many antidepressants over the years and I actually like these. I’m planning to up the dose next week.
I don’t have any side effects except when I forget to take them for more than 3 days I get very dizzy when I stand up so you could possibly get withdrawals.
Dont just stop, call the GP.
I know the numb feeling very well, it was mirtazipine that done it for me and I hated it. I would rather feel anything than nothing.

I take 75mg, and it is perfect for me. Side effects for me improved after 2 weeks.

I found the extended release made me too wiped out
These ones are better
and find them more effective than sertraline which didn’t help with anxiety dor me
I weaned off the xr very slowly to go back on sertraline before then reverting back on the standard ones !
Don’t just stop !!!!!

I’ve been on it for years and have no plan to change that. It keeps my mood stable - the dose goes up and down a bit but I mostly stay on 75mg. Going back down to that is always a challenge as it has to be done very slowly to avoid side effects so I try other things before upping the dose. My GP is brilliant and knows I get how it works and what I need. You do have to take it every day at the same time so I’m meticulous about that. It allows me to lead a healthy life as a senior civil servant for which I am grateful. Good luck!
