Just looking for support really my daughter was sick last week and then I have had a violent sickness bug on Monday a week later and now my anxiety is spiralling.

I won’t stop bleaching the house as I’m terrified my other DD will get it. I’m washing my hands so much they’re sore. We’re 72 hours clear now but it’s really triggered me. I had just started ti get my phobia in a good place but now I’ve gone straight back to wanting to cancel events etc and I don’t want to keep getting DD to wash her hands!

Try to see this as a setback, progress isn’t linear and you haven’t lost the previous progress. Sometimes there are setbacks but you’re still making progress on your journey overall. Please be kind to yourself right now. Can you plan something enjoyable and distracting this evening?

I’ve bought a book today in the hope I just can go to bed and forget about it 🙈 thanks so much for your kindness. Feel like I am starting to frustrate everyone already with my anxiety over it x

I completely understand this as I'm emetophobic and the same thing happened to us last January, it was very traumatic and I still think about it frequently a year later!! Just to say you're not on your own with this x

@Realisation14thanks so much. I feel really defeated by it. I can’t stop cleaning and googling which I know I shouldn’t do but it only it was that easy! Xx

My mental health concerns are different but I know well the feeling of: am I am being too frustrating for others verses needing to talk and reach out for support, validation and kindness.

It's not easy to resist compulsions. They will ease over time though x

V&d? Very unusual to catch two in one month.
