I wasn't going to post here - but after some thought I think this is where it belongs.

My Nana is dying and has been since Sunday - she is in hospital

I should be shouting, screaming and being generally irrational but instead I am uber patient and calm and considerate and thoughtful

Why??

It seems most odd

Because I think as a mum you get to the stage where you just cope with things that would send others screwy - I have been uber calm in awful situations and then the next time it is something trivial that sets me off - it is just a coping mechanism honey.

Big hug to you though at this awful time.

because katy mac as a mum and a wife you suppress your own feelings to help everyone else - does you no good tbh sooner or later those feelings have to come out.

sorry about your nanna i hope she isnt in pain and is soon in peace xxxx

I am quite a shouty, loud, unpatient person - it is a complete about face tbh

Agree with twinkie. Your inner self is keeping you calm because you need to be as a mum. Sorry to hear about your nana.

Tho' DD is in York - with the school

These are other peoples children & I am much calmer
