What can I take to numb feelings? I don’t want to be sad or care about anything or anyone anymore as all it does it makes me sad and my life harder and worse. I want to numb my feelings and be feelingless (think adhd probably makes me over feel) looking for medicines or herbal ideas ideally not meds but willing to hear peoples experiences

Sorry things are tough.

Something that could help is deep breathing, yoga, or meditation - anything that calms you generally can make feelings more manageable and less overwhelming.

Walking in nature or exercise are also known to help calm the mind.

speak to the gp and get somethimg tailored to your symptoms

i had antidepressants. they take the edge off things.
i also like acupuncture £50-£70 a treatment depending on where you are.

i generally find im ok wirh one or two things going wrong in my life but when it’s multiple things it gets overwhelming. it’s not like that forever though. meds help during those difficult times. as does walking you're able. it resets you.

you'll get through this rough patch. see the gp.

Take a very cold shower or hold frozen peas against your wrists.

Dance like a loon, lift heavy stuff, get sweaty. Sing loudly. Watch a tearjerking film.

I read once that the only way to release those feelings from the body is tears or sweat.
