Good evening mummy’s

After waiting 5 years to start this intense therapy I now have a start date 🎉
while I’ve been in the waiting list I have since had my son who is 4.
k am looking for childcare options as it is 2 full days a week 9-4,
I don’t have any support or family close by.
my son I currently getting the 15hr funding as he is at nursery in the mornings,
I have a fantastic child miner who is currently helping me out when she can but is unable to help with the extra hours I need and can not afford to pay £160 a week to cover the extra costs?
I have spoken to his nursery who have said he has to stick to his regular hours or he will loss his space which he needs to give him a better chance to get a place at the primary school the nursery is joined too,
does anyone know how I could get round this?
I’m frustrated as I have been waiting so long for this opportunity but have got to a point where I may have to admit defeat ☹️ any advice would be really appreciated?
thanks for reading

That sounds frustrating. Is it definitely the case that staying in nursery will help him get into the school? Is there a way you can ask the course to postpone until he is in Reception?

Do you have the support of a health visitor to help you find childcare in this situation? Or any other professional help?

Also can you contact your council and ask what the criteria is for school application? Have you already applied for September’s place?
give them all the details - your address, your first choice school and how nursery say he had to stay to get into the primary school, but can’t offer him the full days you need twice a week due to long term health care you need.
