Pregablin - I'm all over the place!!!

Hi all. Started pregablin, its my 15th day on it today. 20 year history of dysthmia, chronic depression, generalised anxiety disorder and now have CPTSD. Pregablin was started to help with crippling anxiety.
Its making me feel so wavy and all over the place. I feel like I dont know whether I'm coming or going, I feel quite disorientated. I feel quite distant at points like spacey. Does this settle? Does anyone else have experience on it?

My GP put me on it for about a month for nerve pain.
Hated it, was dizzy, unsteady on my feet, tired all the time.
This lasted a month until I stopped taking it.

No experience but maybe decrease the dose slightly.

With MH drugs. I always go in low and slow with my dd

What ever the doctor prescribed half it if you can And only titrate up very slowely as long as no significant side effects.

I'm already on the lowest dose so lowering isnt an option unfortunately

Are they capsules or tablets

If tablets you can get pill cutters online and make them less mgs.

My mum has dementia.
I have POA for her and have asked for all medical info and requests to come through me.
I was contacted by the nurse practitioner at her surgery this week to discuss my Mum’s pregabalin.
Apparently it has recently been classed as a controlled drug and they wanted to take it off anyone on it that doesn’t need to be as it can make dementia worse.
We don’t know why she’s even on it.
Her dose has been halved for a month then she’ll go to every other day then stop.
It’s obviously a hard core drug - definitely query it if you’re feeling spaced out on it.

Yeah they are strong medications. I just feel like I probably need to give them longer than 2 weeks but I feel horrendous right now.

I got put on it 15years ago for anxiety and now they are taking me off it because they are saying it makes anxiety worse - so go figure that one out!
