It takes hardly anything.

My DH does anything for his adult kids (he’s a wonderful man who is kind and helpful) I get jealous
If someone gets a pay rise, moves into a new home, has an amazing holiday.
Basically anything!

I’m exhausted from it all.

Any ideas how I can be a better and a nicer person?

Almost all my thoughts are negative!

Was your mum or your dad like this? If they resented other people's happiness then you would have learnt that that was the natural/appropriate reaction.

Start building up your own self esteem by figuring out your core beliefs and challenging them.

Thanks for your response. My dad can be a bit envious but not to a huge extent, but he is vocal so maybe I’ve picked it up? I want to be a nicer person and not be plagued by these thoughts but I’ve no idea where to start.
