Has anyone developed Cardiophobia as a result of a panic attack?

I had one panic attack a few years ago, and have since developed Cardiophobia always worrying I’m going to have a a heart attack whenever I experience a twinge / shortness of breath (probably doesn’t help I know all the symptoms of a heart attack as I was googling this after my panic attack).

I have had CBT, Counselling and this has helped a little but I still have the anxiety lurking around every corner.

Any tips / advice is appreciated 😊

If you are fit and healthy with no underlying health problems the easiest way to prove yourself wrong is to run up and down the stairs to really get your heart pumping. Once you've done this a couple of times your mind should get the message that an increased heart rate and shortness of breath is nothing to be concerned about and it will turn off the fear response.
