Heath Anxiety

I am desperate to be free of health anxiety, it’s making me feel miserable. I have a fear of a heart attack as my panic attack
was so similar to one, so any body sensation in the chest or back area sets me off.

I’ve had therapy, read books but although I’m better than I was it still creeps up almost daily and I just want it gone.

Has anyone ever fully recovered from this xx

Yes. CBT and medication.

The quickest way to prove your mind wrong – assuming you are fit and healthy with no underlying health issues – is to run up and down a flight of stairs when it tells you that you're about to have a heart attack. Do that a couple of times and you will realise that a quick heart rate and being short of breath is nothing to worry about. Once you stop fearing the fear it will go away.
