Anyone suffer from health anxiety really bad? I mean I have got loads better over the years, but every day i worry about my health or when the kids are poorly that’s the worst or just waiting for them to get someone and it sends my anxiety through the roof and I can’t find a way to rationalise it, it’s like half my brain says kids get ill it’s good for there immune system and the other half on my brain goes into panic and worse case scenarios

Health anxiety is a terrible thing. Sadly I talk from a life time of experience. Therapy can be helpful but to be honest it’s one of the most difficult things I’ve had to cope with and it’s never far from my mind.

Yes health anxiety here. I've tried everything, I know the root cause of it, I know why it started, I've had CBT, I've had talking therapy, I've tried hypnotherapy, self-help books - dick all works. I'm on citalopram too. Sometimes it's okay and then other times it just absolutely spirals no matter what I do.

Same OP. It's exhausting. I tried CBT but it only really made me more mindful of my thought patterns and catastrophising, it hasn't stopped it. Being busy helps me the most. Getting out, seeing people, doing things. Too much thinking time makes it worse.
