So I have done my letter to my employer and mention to him that I have a certain condition on that I need to be working on evenings whether they have referred me to occupational health at my workplace I have never been to an occupational health assessment and I need somebody with a better advice on what to do or they can ask as I have ongoing mental health situation which is DPD I have been diagnosed with it as of yet but it’s in the process with NHS my doctor Dunga Mobile diagnosis and as mentioned it is probably due to our stress and things you have going on in life and it’s probably the consistent shifts you know what to eat from like mornings so I’m gonna kind of try requesting for afternoon shifts. Am I able to ask when I do my occupational health meeting and how can I ask as I have never done it before can someone please help me? Give me any advice as to to give my meeting

They will just want to know if there's anything that your workplace can do to support your health conditions, and whether they HAVE to put anything in place. You can ask but it doesn't mean it's guaranteed, especially if shift work is part of the role. But they are not there to catch you out and I've found all my OH appointments to be really helpful. Just be honest and write a list before you go if it helps x

Make a list for f all your questions
a list of all your issues
and a list of what will help you.

remember, there may be other people who also only want to work evening shifts for various reasons and they may not be able to accommodate everyone
