Calm app and the like

Hello all. After another sleepless night tossing and turning and my nervous system being shot to bits recently by a toxic situation at work and it also being firework season, I was wondering if anyone uses any apps that help. My fb feed is full of adverts from leaply and calm but I would rather gain person experiences before committing to anything. I’m just fed up of my body being in fight, flight, freeze mode and it is affecting daily life now. I take a beta blocker for when it is bad and also take ashwaganda, which I find helpful.

many thanks

There’s lots of good free stuff on YouTube:

  • Ally Boothroyd (look up her ‘bone deep sleep’ videos if you can’t sleep, they’re the best)
  • Michael Sealey
  • Progressive Hypnosis (that’s the channel name)

And some great EFT tappers you might find helpful:

  • Brad Yates
  • Michael Hetherington

I like Insight Timer.

I have the free version and there are a lot of options of meditations, but I listen to the sleep stories the most.

I don't like using YouTube as it doesn't turn itself off at the end like IT does.

Taking magnesium does help sleep. I’ve been on it for a year and it helps my DC too.
I use the headspace app but before you pay for it I’d suggest you try the free options on YouTube. Mindfulness is also really good.
