Me again! So I’ve been on the Vortioxetine for 10 weeks and my sleep is still shite.
I am thinking I need to get an appt to discuss it as this side effect isn’t going to go away if it’s still happening this far down the line is it?
has anybody (on any antidepressant at all, not specifically Vortioxetine) had side effects for this long that have actually managed to subside?
I don’t want to mess with my meds but I can’t keep on this particular one with the sleep disruption and morning anxiety. I haven’t had a restful nights sleep since I’ve been on it!

I am on Vortioxetine and have not had this as a side effect - I climb up and down between 15-20mg depending on how I'm doing. What time do you take it? Are you sure it is the drug or is it now more psychosomatic - as in you've become fixated with not being able to sleep and so that becomes what is stopping you sleeping? Sometimes it isn't the drug it is the pattern that creates the problem- ie initially it might have been the drug but then you settle into believing you can't sleep, that this is a problem and it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy? If you watch the Sleep Clinic you tube videos they are quite helpful. Otherwise I guess ask to switch to something different?

@FMLpassthegin i think it’s the tablet as there are other side effects like sweats and palpitations- i hear what you are saying though but the whatever it is i am finding it difficult to manage. When I was intially on them I had zopiclone and diazepam but I still couldn’t really settle and sleep properly till I got mirtazipine as an add on but unfortunately it helps to a degree but not enough to stop me feeling like crap x
