Thinking of talking to dds (19) psychiatrist to consider this as an add on to sertraline for ocd as the Sert isn't doing much.

Wondered if we can get it in the uk as sometimes I read things that help but they are not really prescribed here

She has therapy already but any other suggestions welcome. Thanks.

Buspirone is prescribed in UK but of course it's a doctor's decision.

Sorry don't know about that but my good friend is on Sertraline and Lamotrigine. Lamotrigine is prescribed off label but it has made a big difference to OCD behaviours and general overall stability.

Did you get the buspar ?
I've just asked my doctor for it ,I've an appointment on Monday to see if they will prescribe it

Yes I did however we are no longer using it as it didn’t help a great deal when compared to the side effects. Hoping to try Clonidine instead

Clonodine can mess with heart permanently. We wanted it for DD’s adhd and pysch wouldn’t prescribe due to this.

Thansk ask but dd being diagnosed with pots so it’s often used for that

The usual add on is Mirtazapine.

Or anti psychotics for anxiety.

Thanks. Things have changed now tho. If dd does have pots which I suspect she has from her blood pressure testing. She needs something to control that. Hopefully that may be one of the reasons she is so anxious with no particular reason.
