Talking Therapies

Any body else experienced Talking Therapies and struggle with them?

I am not feeling well at rhe moment. My HV referred me to TT.
They did not like me bringing my baby who is 5 months and breastfed. The appointments they offer are limited and I'd have to pump milk which adds to my stress daily. I cancelled the appt as they made me feel uncomfortable. The therapist wasn't great and came across as passive aggressive.

I have been to them three times over the past few years (inc before baby) and they always diagnose me with something different!! GAD, OCD and now PTSD. I'm not sure how competent they are or if what they're diagnosing is the case.
They use those questionnaires all the time which are hard work in themselves when feeling low.
I have since booked with a private therapist who has no problems with bringing baby!

What are people's experiences with this?
Do they work?
Do you get diagnosed with something different?
Could you take your baby?

I would say maybe try a few therapists if necessary, some are definitely better than others depending on your needs & personality. Don't give up because the right one can make a world of difference and change your life! 💐
