I have had weekly private psychotherapy for years but currently the flashbacks and other symptoms are overwhelming. I don't know if there is any NHS help for this?

I have no idea about NHS treatment - possibly EMDR? (I'm not in the UK) but I, and colleagues, regularly work with trauma and PTSD and results are measured in weeks, not years.

What treatments do you work with? Talk therapy has been very helpful but not enough on its own. I looked for support groups and there aren't any. I know NHS MH services are not good so I never attempted them

I had emdr on the nhs for ptsd however I waited 10 years. It helped but wasn't a cure. The psychologist said it works well however it's not as effective with very long time gaps between trauma and treatment /multiple traumas. It was also time limited (however nearly a year, rather than the 2 months they offered cbt).
I would say if you do have emdr, go in with an open mind, it will feel odd, and out of your comfort zone at first especially when it makes you feel worse or you feel theres no change. Its the only thing that has made a significant difference to my mh. I do often feel numb/no emotion but that's so much better than the flashback and total panic I was experiencing before.

I'm a remedial hypnotist so it's a talk therapy, but the conversation is directly with the subconscious mind rather than the logical/rational part of you. There's a (long) AMA on it.
