I have no energy, no interest and want to do nothing / stay in bed. I am forcing myself on for my kids and trying to be 'normal' but I am not. Most around me are critical of me when I'm at my best - so dread to think what they will be thinking now.

Lots of little things have built up to be too much.

I have lost my abilty to get organised - every thing in a mess & I dont even want to try and sort it all out!

You sound quite depressed (your ability to function on a day-to-day basis is impaired).

Do you have a partner?

MrsJonnyDepp · 05/06/2008 10:24

Yes - he is currently on the forth consecutive 12 hour shift 6am-6pm - so he will not be around until 7pm. He has little understanding of how I feel and generally ignores it.

I am awaiting a call back from my doctor - I have had alot of pains in my stomach since dd was born 3 years ago. I think I'm worrying that something is very wrong with me. I hope if I properly address this - things will brighten up.

Hey, you sound down MrsJD.

Do you think you coula manage to sort out just one thing? Sometimes once you sort out one thing then the rest seems a little bit easier. Don't do everything at once. Have one aim for the day.

MrsJonnyDepp · 05/06/2008 11:17

Have just bagged up some of dd 'grown out of clothes' to take to the charity shop, Then I aim to put the really nice ones on e-bay. I am much better than yesterday - which was my worse day ever

That's a good start. Just take is slowly. We all have such high expecations of ourselves (and others) but life's not a glossy magazine.

Also, I find it really helps when I am overwhelmed to make a list - of everything. It frees up your head from the same things going round and round and then you can tick them off!

MrsJonnyDepp · 05/06/2008 12:46

Thanks - I am the queen on lists!

Yes, absolutely agree with the list thing - when I feel overwhelmed, the best therapy is to write a huge list of everything I need to do, sort the list into priorities/related topics and then attack it. Being able to see the list shrink gives a real feeling of accomplishment that spurs me on .

Personally I never can feel good about myself when my life is in disorder. So I just have to buckle down.

Good news - have mowed the lawn and tidyed up. My doctor is reffering me for a ultrasound and going to Tescos now to sort the lack of food! So all good so far
