Grief of a friend going away overseas / friendship changing

I made some great friends in 2022

One i thought a lot of and truly valued the friendship

Today i learnt that im unlikely to see them for 4-5 /6 months

Im very happy for them
And the exciting opportunity theyve got themselves

But im going through a hard time, and will miss them being at the end of whatsapp / their friendship

Very emotional as pregnant - cried a little over it today

It’s hormones kid!!
this is what it’s like - it’s going to be ok- you have no choice !!
But everything feels out of control and it’s making your reactions much stronger.
write it all down,everything that’s upsetting you and then, reason with yourself as to how bad it actually is.

It’s fine to feel sad she’s going and shed a few tears. When they come back you’ll probably reconnect and it will be nice to see them.
