I absent-mindedly, (tiredly), took double my ciltalopram dosage, (80mg instead of 40mg) before bed, should I be worried?

Just googled it, 40mg is the maximum dose for depression / anxiety...I'd probably call 111 for advice

Or you could call a 24hr pharmacy near you and if the pharmacist is in, speak to them.

As a nurse I wouldn't worry over 1 dose of 80 mg.

Symptoms of an overdose include seizures, fast heartbeat, drowsiness, changes in the electrical activity of the heart, unconsciousness, vomiting, tremor, changes in blood pressure, irregular heartbeat,
changes in heart rhythm, nausea, serotonin syndrome, agitation, dizziness, dilated pupils (mydriasis), sweating, bluish skin and rapid breathing.

Seek medical attention if necessary, but it is unlikely with a single dose of 80 mg.

It gives me a real jaw clench experience if I accidentally take an extra one.

Thank you very much for your replies. As it was just before bed, I decided to just go to sleep but would call 111 if I felt weird. i've woken up feeling fine and I'm local today too. Thanks again!
