Long story short I have horrendous HA and we bought a new car 6 weeks ago, to now find out it has a hole in the exhaust. I don't do long trips in the car with the kids and always have the windows open as the kids want them down, we won't have been poisoned will we?! I am just panicking about Carbon Monoxide poisoning. The mechanic didn't say anything about CM poisoning risk I am just really panicking.

No symptoms etc!

i would stop using the car and get it fixed? But I imagine you’re doing that. You can’t change what happened before.

Although I have a portable carbon monoxide alarm for our camper van which might give peace of mind?

I have. It's in the garage, it's an old vehicle so we will be replacing it

It won’t feed back into the car but disperse in the air around the car. It is the same fumes as would have been emitted anyway.
