Mirtazapine

Dr started me on 15mg Mirtazapine for anxiety and insomnia (I’m currently dealing with the bereavement of my mum 8 weeks ago.)

took first dose last night and slept the best I’ve slept - 10pm to 8am without waking, brilliant.

problem is it’s now 13.45 and I’ve been tired ALL DAY. I honestly feel I could just go back to bed. I’ve ate well, went out for a walk, drank coffee, did household chores. But I honestly feel so shattered. Yet I’ve had the best nights sleep I’ve had since my mum passed.

what the hell?

Yes tiredness but this should go away with a 30mg dose or a few week until ypur body gets used to it. These Atypical anti depressants are great for people who sleep poorly or are unable to sleep due to thoughts and anxiety. It’s a strange choice for your Dr to subscribe for a first time anti depression tablet. Did you complain of being unable to sleep?

i find the tablets make me eat s as no feel hungry all the time.
