Sertraline side effects a week later?

Hello everyone.

I am on day 9 of Sertraline. The first few days I was symptom free, except a bit of tiredness and feeling abit wired. The last two days I’ve been so sick and nauseas and my anxiety’s creeping up the wall. I know side affects at the start are common but with me having a few days or a week or so of feeling fine, I presumed I would be ok. My health anxiety is off the scale at the moment. Is it normal for side effects to start after a week? Also; weird feeling in throat, feels like I have something stuck there.

Obviously everyone is different, but I found the start-up side effects difficult for a couple of weeks. One of the side effects I had was jaw clenching, could your throat feeling be that? I had to quite consciously unclench quite often, and the pressure on my teeth caused headaches.

I felt grim, like I had flu, and could hear a hissing everytime I blinked.

If you're feeling worse than before definitely speak to the person who prescribed them. You might want to persevere for another week or so, but you might need to try a couple to find one that suits you best.
