Need some support from those in the same boat or with experience. On day 9 of increase from 50mg to 100mg and am having a bad day with symptoms feeling quite on edge, restless and super sweaty. I feel quote emotionally flat. Don’t feel like myself at all. Also on day 2 of my period so know it is probably not helping. Can people please give me a handhold and and words of encouragement. Thank you x

Hand hold from me. I had a tough time when I started on and increased doses is sertraline.

Did you have similar when you started on 50mg? I remember that the effects of upping a dose didn't last so long as initial side effects of starting.

Thank you for replying. No I didn’t have any side effects when I went back on it at 50mg. Only since upping to 100mg 9 days ago. Please tell me it got better for you and how long it took? X

@Waitingforthesunshine24 It absolutely gets better.

I am struggling to remember as it was about 10 years ago, but not long maybe a week or two as others have said and they decreased in intensity over that time. I definitely agree that hormones can have an impact too.

This hormone side of things really worries me because the lead up to my monthly is awful. Hoping the sertraline will help with it x

@Waitingforthesunshine24 Yes, I think it will.

When I came off of antidepressants for a while my premenstrual mood was a lot more noticeable. I definitely think the antidepressants had been keeping it at bay.

Once you are settled onto the increased dose hopefully that will make all the difference.

Hope your side effects disappear quickly.
