Sertraline advice

I’ve been on Sertraline for 12 weeks, 8 weeks on 50mg and 4 weeks on 100mg. I had 3 days last week where I felt a bit better and thought I was turning a corner but now back to feeling as awful as ever. I’m on it for pnd/pna. Anybody been on Sertraline and had similar? How long shall I give the 100mg before asking GP to increase? Thank you 🙏

I’m about 4 weeks behind your schedule but I have taken and come off sertraline before. My recovery has never been linear - always a few down days after a period of feeling better. After a very bad dip about 10 years ago it took me about 6-8 weeks to feel consistently better. No harm
speaking to Dr though as we’ll
all be different. Good luck and hang on in there. Recovery will happen

I have been been on sertraline twice with several dose increases each time. Just based on my experience I would stay on 100mg for at least a few more weeks if not longer.

I had the same experience as stripeywellies, where I had improvements then dips as I began to get better. It is really awful when you feel like you are going backwards after a bit of progress but stick with it and hopefully you will see that even with the dips in between things are going in the right direction.
