Anyone up for making one small big change with me

I just wanted to post this here to come back to.

I am done.

I need to do whatever it takes.

I need to stop working from home 4 days a week.

I don't get enough exercise, and it affects my mental well-being. No surprises, my mental well-being nosedived, and it's already a fine balance.

If I start going in 2 days a week minimum regularly, this will be so much better for me - I will be able to get more exercise, interaction, better balance (not working all hours). There's lots of things I could do after work nearby etc.

I've got a complicated piece of work to hand in tomorrow, then I'm going to put things in train to go in 2 days regularly.

Will come back with a plan. Aim is c80% improvement, so 2 days a week on 10 out of 12 weeks.

Is anyone else up for making 'one small big change' with me?

Well done for hatching this plan to improve things for yourself. I did the same thing over a month ago and it really has helped, I can't do proper cardio because I have exercise induced panic attacks so I never exercise except walking, so I used chatgpt to help me come up with a plan, I bought 3kg dumbbells and I now exercise 4 days a week at home a mixture of the weights, yoga and mild cardio. I can already feel my strength improving and my mental health from this consistent exercise.

This is so inspiring! Well done on introducing the exercise - agree its about finding workarounds. I have a lot of planning to do - brainstorming, remaking the schedule, prepping, checklists. Will report back.

Good tip re chat GPT!

Thank you! Yep I've always told myself oh you can't exercise because of the panic attacks it brings on, you can't go to a gym or classes because if you have a panic attack in public you'll be so embarrassed and never go back, waste of money etc but chatgpt really helped me see a way around all my negative thinking about exercise and come up with something that makes me feel comfortable!

Oh yes please do update me when you have your new schedule and plan in place! I'd love to hear about it x

I’m definitely up for a change - I’m going through a lot of upheaval at the moment and really need to stop using sugar as an emotional crutch!

You’ve inspired me to finally do something about it
