Hi everyone,
I’ve been taking Venlafaxine for depression and severe anxiety and am currently on 150mg.
it seemed to work for a while but now the anxiety has come back with a vengeance.
can anyone tell me whether increasing their dose helped at all?
im so worried that im just resistant to any antidepressant because ive tried so many before 😥. I am going through a separation at the moment and have recently moved into a rental to get some breathing space so there are reasons for the way im feeling. I just wondered if anyone found relief at a higher dose at all?

Yes; in my more challenging years I found increasing my dose in times of high stress really helped. I then managed top reduce when stresses eased.

Did you find that you had tried other medications previously before starting on Venlafaxine?

yes, lots!
The other possibility is to add another5 antidepressant, of a different type. Sleep was - still is - a massive issue for me and I take Trazodone every night for that. It's a tricyclical antidepressant and can be combined with Venlafaxine.
