What to say to GP

Feeling very low, very hopeless and emotional keep crying over random things. I know I need to speak to GP but I don’t really know where to start or what to say. I’m a terrible ‘masker’ in public so am very likely to put on a face and not really admit how bad things are

Just say you’ve really been struggling with your mood and mental health and want to discuss how to get some support.

Could it be peri meno related, depending on your age ofc?

You could always write it down and hand the note to your gp. They won’t mind. I hope you get the help you need - you deserve to feel better

Thank you. Writing it down is a good idea. I think part of the problem is I feel guilty for feeling like this - I have on paper an amazing life so do feel I don’t deserve to feel better
