Been struggling with my situation for a while. i know i need some kind of therapy, i tried it before and hated it, just some woman sat there repeating every word i said.
my ADs do help a little, i think, but i am starting to think i will never heal and never be truly happy again.

Maybe there is no more that anyone can do for me.

I know this sounds trite, but things will and do get better. I can say this from having had CBT, therapy and ADs, so I know at least a bit of how you feel.

And please don't a) blame yourself for the first lot of therapy and b) assume that this means all therapy doesn't work. You have to really 'click' with someone for therapy to help, and if you don't get that feeling, then walk away and find someone else. It's not your fault at all.

The other thing to remember, is that it's like a spiral staircase. You get a bit better, things come back a bit different, you face a bit more of them. You feel as though you're going over the same stuff, but you are still going up.

I know how you feel; every time I think I am over depression for good, it comes back for another bite. But the gaps get longer, I think, and when I am thinking straight I know how to get away from it.

But in the end I had a lovely therapist - it was hard work sometimes, but I also really enjoyed talking to her. And she had such interesting things to say about what I said (she wasn't a trad therapist at all, had opinions about everything) that it made me think about things very differently - made me realise it wasn't all my fault.
