Hypnosis for stress, anger, anxiety

Does hypnosis for stress, anxiety and anger work? I’ve started a course with a reputable therapist, paying a lot of money for results.

had my first session and was very underwhelmed. I try to ‘give in’, I’m receptive, but literally I was awake the whole time, could have opened my eyes at anytime. Now I don’t know to have another session or not. She’s not cheap £85 a session.

anyone tried and been successful?

It's a fallacy that you are 'under' or asleep during hypnosis; you are in a state or relaxation but you are not unconscious. Talk to your therapist and then decide whether to continue, there's nothing in it for either of you to continue if you're not feeling any benefit.

(In answer to your question, yes it can, but it's not a given that it will).
