Norethisterone and low mood

Has anyone experienced similar?

I took norethisterone for a week to delay my period on holiday. I took the last dose on Saturday afternoon. Started my period yesterday and I am SO EMOTIONAL. I can't stop crying. I can hold it together at work but in the evenings I just feel overwhelmingly sad and have cried for a good hour or 2 for the last couple of nights. Mostly revolved around the fact that my son is getting bigger/growing up. But I'm not sure if that's just something my brain has latched onto. Has anyone experienced this? Any idea how long it will last? I'm really struggling.

Yes made me feel emotional and erratic. Was very disconcerting as I usually don’t get even so much as mild PMT. It’s likely just hormonal and will pass OP.

Similar experience. Not tearful but I just felt emotionally dead. It was very odd. I was sad, disliked everything but couldn’t cry and felt very numb.

It does pass. I figured next holiday I would rather be on my period!

Thanks both. I'd definitely rather be on my period than go through this again! I usually take provera which doesn't have this effect but they gave me norethisterone this time. I'll definitely ask for provera if I need it again.
