I was struggling with my mental health and so my doctor started me on 50mg of sertraline. I was on that for a month and noticed a bit of an improvement. When I went back for my review, they suggested putting it up to 100mg. I have been taking that for around 3 weeks but I feel I've gone back the way. Can 50mg sometimes work better than 100mg?

Hey,
If 50mg worked better for you than 100mg, then you have your evidence.
Best wishes.

Upping a tablet can have the same side effects as when you first start taking it, low mood, suicidal thoughts, irritability etc. I would suggest either give it another 2 weeks, or request to go back to 50s.
