Hi I’ve been taking fluoxetine for several years now with pretty decent effect on my anxiety. Last few months it seems to not be working so well. Thinking of speaking to Gp re a different type I’ve had setraline and citaloprapm in the past not helped much - I’m thinking these are all antidepressants I’m not nor even have been depressed (thankfully) but my anxiety has definitely needed something any one any advice on what I could be prescribed other than another antidepressant

A lot of AD medication works well for anxiety.

I take Lofepramine and, when needed, propranolol. Works well for me. I have had all the others you listed too, but I’ve been on this one approx 12 years now and it still works well. I had a bit of a wobble during peri but HRT definitely worked to ease that.
Lofepramine is an older med, I don’t think it’s used very much now compared to more modern drugs.
Also worth noting that low vitamin D (common over winter in U.K.) can also increase anxiety, as can low ferritin, low folate, low B12 and thyroid issues. Might be worth requesting checks before a switch if it’s worked well for you until recently.
