Nervous feeling all day- adrenaline?

Hi, I'm really struggling with a persistent nervous feeling in my tummy, even though I'm not nervous about anything! It was the first day of school today (I'm a supply teacher) but I wasn't feeling nervous, until just before I did the register I had a wave of anxiety- which passed. But for the rest of the day I've felt really nervous/edgy even though mentally I feel fine. Do you think the adrenaline released in the morning would have caused the lingering nervousness?

You can only get rid of adrenaline through exercise so it could be.

Could be.

I suffer with POTS and so get this feeling too. Its really uncomfortable.

How did you manage to calm it down?

i didn't really - I still feel a bit nervous now. I feel mentally fine but nervous/wired/edgy. It's horrible. I'm going to try beta blockers.

This might sound mad but I suddenly developed lactose intolerance and would get flooded with adrenaline for no apparent reason. When I stopped dairy, the weird feelings stopped

Thats so interesting! I had a blood test which showed borderline hypothyroid but I don't think my GP will do anything about that as it's not above their ranges. I also wonder about peri.... I get this nervousness at any time, there doesn't need to be a reason. After a day of this my chest on the left side often aches, as if my heart has been working too hard!

This is weird coz i started getting this. Do you get like little rushes rush from your stomach to your chest ?
The only thing doctors found wrong was folic acid deficiency but since being medicated it hasn't improved anything though

What is your heart rate compared to normal?

inthewoods4 · 23/04/2025 17:49

I think my heart rate is ok, although I'm really aware of it and sometimes my chest aches. Right now I'm home, nothing stressful going on but my tummy still feels nervous
