Implications for my child

I have previously tried to access support from my GP for my mental health. Other than medication, my GP has not been very helpful in supporting me and I'm now feeling very, very low. I am wondering about contacting the local crisis team directly but am worried that if I am really honest about just how bad I feel, they will contact social care. Can anyone advise me what might happen?

Hi,

Firstly well done for posting this and wanting to seek help. If you feel you need crisis team help then please call them, and tell them what's going on and be entirely truthful, they are not there to take your children away. They will assess the situation and either see you themselves or refer you onto another team for more appropriate help. Sending virtual hugs and strength for you to get through this period in your life. Please remember that this too shall pass, it might not be tomorrow or in a few weeks but it will xxxx
