Citalopram and sleep

Just wondering how citalopram has impacted sleep and energy levels for people who’ve taken it for at least a few months?

Thank you.

It really improved my sleep- whether it was the lack of anxiety or something else.

@fantasticoplastico thanks 😊 did it make you lethargic in the day though?
I’m trying to weigh everything up.

I had insomnia with it early doors, and was waking up very early mornings. Doc gave me some promethazine (I think that’s what it is - antihistamine you can buy over counter) and they helped while I settled. Fine on my own now, sleep normally.

I’m now 12 months on citalopram. I fall asleep so much easier now as before I was laying awake with anxiety making up scenarios in my head that would keep me awake. I fall asleep better but I do have crazy dreams now. From the off set! But still as common now! Rather that than the anxiety though! Good luck. It’s the best thing I started on it gave me a new lease of life x

@User0311 I’m glad it’s helped. Do you feel your energy through the day is ok?
