Duloxetine vs Venlafaxine

I am presently on Escitalopram (14 years) and it seems to have stopped helping. I have Mixed Anxiety and depressive disorder and now some osteoarthritis pain. I have read that Duloxetine is good for all 3 but the recent USA recalls for nitrosamines has rather scared me off. Anyone taken Venlafaxine for pain relief as well as anxiety/depression please?
I have in the past had older types of AD and more recently tried Prozac, Sertraline and Citalopram without help.

Jeez, didn’t know anything about the duloxetine recall overseas! I’ve been on a high dose since 2016! Shit!

Watching with interest as I’m switching to venlafaxine tomorrow!

I'm on Venlafaxine. It has worked well for depression and anxiety. I have fibromyalgia and I don't think it has helped at all with that pain.
I think Venlafaxine is very hard to come off though so consider if you are happy with taking it for a very long time/life
For me the benefits of being more emotionally stable outweigh any potential negatives.

Dontsayyouloveme did mean to worry you. It has happened twice recalls for Duloxetine in the USA because of higher than acceptable levels of nitrosamines. So you wouldn't have been affected here. Nitrosamines are found in our water, cosmetics, processed foods etc and in the manufacture of some medicines we even make some in our bodies but it is the acceptable levels and pharmaceutical companies have become more advanced at detecting the levels and they voluntarily recalled the drugs. It's happened twice for Duloxetine and as a result is reclassified. Part of my health anxiety unfortunately,
