Suggest course or book for inattentive ADHD

I am 37 with second kid on the way. Quite unorganized. Struggle at work and with house as well. Luckily I have a cleaner but still feel drowning. I think I have inattentive ADHD planning to talk to my GP about it. I lack most of the executive functions. Please suggest course or books for ADD or to improve these executive skills that worked for you. I would like to become better at least before my second child is born.

Thanks 😊

There's loads of stuff on YouTube (look up ADHD UK, ADHD foundation for reputable advice).

Try playing the videos at 1.5x or 2x the normal speed - helps lots of people with ADHD.

Also think about the times you have been able to work well/achieve what you wanted to. What did those situations have in common? What helped? Can you implement those things more generally?

Thanks for the suggestions :) I will take a look !

I have only the unattentive part and not the overractive part of ADHD.

Sidetracked Home Executives by Pamela Young and Peggy Jones. It's a very old book but looks like you can get the kindle version for a reasonable price. I used it for many years and loved it because the system uses index cards which I kept on the kitchen worktop. I found that easier because of the visual cue.

I use Habit Tracker on my phone now but I'm less busy than I was.

You'll never actually improve your executive functioning. I see the index cards and habit tracker as my external working memory.

DH found finally focused was good and also how to ADHD. Although for full disclosure he is now medicated. Depending on your preferred method of acquiring information.
