Coming off Sertraline

I'm on day 5 of sertraline and I'm too overwhelmed by the side effects. I don't think it would be very safe for me to continue taking them and I don't want to continue.

I was prescribed 50mg but I have been halving my pills so have only been on 25mg. If I want to come off them does anyone know how is best to proceed?

Just stop taking them. No need to taper down from such a tiny dose that you have only taken for five days.
Are you sure that it is side effects from the Sertraline and not just symptoms of depression or anxiety?

It's VERY unusual to feel anything positive or negative on 25. I don't think that is even a therapeutic dose.

Starting dose is usually 50. 25 is often used to start on when the issue is anxiety. Are you sure it's not your actual mental health condition that is causing the problem?

I advise you call your gp in the morning and talk about it
