What are people's experience with Citalopram? My anxiety and panic attacks are through the roof but apprehensive about taking it

It has been a game changer for me. I've been on it for 9 years now and it has been amazing in quieting down the 'background noise' of anxiety and allowing me to live a calm and full life. It took me about a month to adjust to it in the first place, and this period can be unsettling as it takes a while for it to kick in, but if you power through I hope it would work as well for you as it has for me. I've tried to come off it two or three times and it just hasn't worked. Looks like I'll be on it long term. But it's a small price to pay for feeling confident, keeping on top of life, and dealing with a job that requires a lot of public speaking, etc.

Highly recommended from me, though I know everyone experiences it slightly differently. Good luck x

Been a life saver. I’m much calmer and nicer now. I don’t blow up over nothing. I don’t have that morning rush of dread. I sing to the cat most of the day. Try it. See how you get on x

Helps me get on with my life and live it. Otherwise I am so anxious I cannot.

I've been on it for 11 years and will probably be on it for life. I have no problems taking it or any side effects that I notice.
