Bit of back story - I have struggled with my MH for many years (first diagnosed after youngest was born - he is 18 now) but with a combo of ADs as well as exercise / relaxation I have managed.

The past few years the anxiety has taken over - palpatations /breathlessness. I PUSH through as in I am not agrrophobic etc and ensure I force myself to do the things that help me (exercise / read / socialise) but god it is hard ( i am 44 now) as well as what I can only describe as a fuzzy head (spaced out / foggy)
No hot flashes (if anything I feel the cold) real lethargy and apathy and rage / irritability. Periods still regular - bit heavier !
I take supplements - a perimenopause complex as well as vit D, magnesium and ashwaganda at night as well as 50mg of sertraline .
I tried HRT (tablets body identical and oestragel) but didnt stick for long (2 months) as mood seemed to plummet further.
I am considering the mirena coil alongside oestragel. ANyone tried and found it effective / helped them?
TIA

This is exactly how I feel and I'm definitely peri menopausal. I'm on HRT and 45 years old. My worst symptoms is feeling completely spaced out all the time, severe fatigue and severe panic attacks (panic disorder) palpitations and feeling faint and dizzy at times.

I was on the patches first and they personally didn't help me at all (in fact made my symptoms worse) I'm am now on the gel and progesterone pills and am starting to feel much better. I still get fatigued but my head is clearer and I'm working on my anxiety by writing down when my symptoms are worse.
I've noticed that my symptoms are so much worse a few days before ovulation and my period so it stops me panicking and thinking the worst is going to happen.
HRT isn't for everyone but it's certainly helping me.
