Exhausted from all my anxious thoughts

I will have a fairly quiet wfh day but feel so exhausted from being ‘on’ all day and feeling anxious at everything that I feel almost ill by the end of the day. I’m cutting down evening plans but still feeling exhausted and sleep badly with worry for whats to come the next day. I struggle with perfectionism.

I've tried therapy but with not much luck. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I can do to help? I want to make the most of life but am finding it hard at the moment.

When and why did this start? Finding the root cause is always the best way of changing the thought patterns.

I would recommend anti-anxiety medication. Speak to your GP. You don’t have to be on them forever, just until you get into new mental habits.

i could have written this word for word today - it s depressing, isn't it? i can only offer sympathy

i ve decided to just simplify the evening for now - DH will cook, we ll watch some easy TV.

do you manage to go to sleep easily?
i take kalms and 5HTP but cannot recommend because i don't think it s done much for me!

the one thing that work for me is playing the repetitive type phone games (cake game, fruit game) where you need to align patterns. i do this on airplane mode, and the routine of it calms my mind a bit.

It’s nice to know I’m not alone, but I'm sorry that you're also feeling this way 💐

I get to sleep easily but wake up in the night panicking often so I've been up since 4am. I might try kalms as I’ll try anything now.

Good idea on the games before bed. Thank you x

Thank you. I spoke to my GP a few months ago about starting some but as I’m ttc at the moment she’s suggested I wait for now.
